Pretty Thoughts of a Hot Chick is sponsoring an event in honor of Womens History Month

Thanks to our lovely Ambassadoll Aukeia and her friendship with Alicia Rivers we have an excellent opportunity to doll recruit and spread the word!

Alicia Rivers a published author (The Pretty Thoughts of a Hot Chick: Foxy Little Notions for Our Minds, Bodies & Souls!) and veteran of the magazine publishing industry, has been a beauty, style and wellness expert for several publications. Prior to founding and editing JOLIE Magazine in 2005, she was the first Black female Editor-In-Chief of two non-ethnic hair & beauty magazines...101 Hairstyles & Shortcuts. Alicia also spearheaded the success of several hair, beauty, fashion and celebrity magazines including Hot Hair, Ultimate Hair, Great Hair Now and Be Stylish, Teen Celebrity, Sweet 16.com, Celebrity Cuts, Black Hairstyles & Trends, Black Hair & Braids, Black Elegance and Belle (a publication geared to the full-figured woman).

During her tenure as a magazine editor, she has interviewed and worked with such celebrities as Kimora Lee Simmons, Tyra Banks, Ciara, Queen Latifah, Alicia Keys, Mary J. Blige, Tracee Ellis Ross, Hil Harper, Ne-Yo, Beverly Johnson, Wendy Williams, Shon Gables, just to name a few and secured Vivica A. Fox as spokesperson and editor-at-large for JOLIE Magazine in 2005. She also garnered a significant following to JOLIE Magazine due to her witty, entertaining and informative content. Her talents have been featured on highly watched television programs such as ABC News, CBS 2 News, The Tyra Banks Show, BET, The Jimmy Kimmel Show and The Montel Williams Show as well as in fashion, lifestyle and celebrity magazines like InStyle and OK!

As a self-esteem specialist, she has conducted seminars and coached both men and women. A budding web and television personality, Alicia continues to nurture her relationship with and build her audience with her new venture, Pretty Thoughts of a Hot Chick! The guilty pleasure with style! (www.prettythoughtsofahotchick.com).

The event is being held on March 21st, 2010 at the Taj Lounge 48 west 21street Ny, Ny 10010 between 5th and 6th avenues.
